EspañolM. Arana, 40, arrived to work as a roofer for Aries Roofing on December 12, 2015 thinking it would be just like any other day. While he was working on the third story of a building, he fell backwards off a ladder onto a concrete surface. He sustained a traumatic brain injury losing consciousness, along with acute respiratory failure, hypoxia, multiple skull fractures and a subdural hematoma with traumatic subarachnoid bleed.
Despite sustaining such a fall with an extensive list of injuries, Defendants disputed the nature and extent of these injuries and contended that he did not require long term care.
