M. Arana, 40, arrived to work as a roofer for Aries Roofing on December 12, 2015 thinking it would be just like any other day. While he was working on the third story of a building, he fell backwards off a ladder onto a concrete surface. He sustained a traumatic brain injury losing consciousness, along with acute respiratory failure, hypoxia, multiple skull fractures and a subdural hematoma with traumatic subarachnoid bleed.
Despite sustaining such a fall with an extensive list of injuries, Defendants disputed the nature and extent of these injuries and contended that he did not require long term care.
As Mr. Arana’s counsel, Tina Odjaghian fiercely fought for him. Ms. Odjaghian pushed and was able to obtain the extensive care needed for Mr. Arana. From there, he was admitted to a neurorehabilitation facility for interdisciplinary neurorehabilitation. There, he benefitted from treatment that included: occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy and neuropsychologic counseling. Ultimately, Tina Odjaghian Law Group secured $5,300,000 for Mr. Arana, guaranteeing him permanent long-term care and life-long benefits.
